Cheap Monday Jeans & Clothes, Suicidal Marketing!

Cheap Monday Jeans & Clothes, Suicidal Marketing!Cheap Monday Jeans, the punk infused denim brand from Sweden, is gaining staggering attention and not just for its jeans. Just a few years ago Örjan Andersson was on his knees in his shed, hand printing his own shirts and jeans and in contrast just recently Cheap Monday Jeans were nominated in the category for “best jeans design” in Elle magazine. Impressive leap and well deserved recognition for the man’s artistry and craftsmanship.

So all’s rose in the Cheap Monday’s garden we’d naturally presume? Unfortunately not! For some bizarre reason the Cheap Monday’s marketing machine is overtly attempting to sabotage the brand’s success by instigating what can only be termed suicidal-marketing. The brand has opted to announce its satanic sympathies which is epitomised by the brand’s logo which depicts a skull with an inverted cross on its forehead.

“It is an active statement against Christianity,” Bjorn Atldax told The Associated Press. “I’m not a Satanist myself, but I have a great dislike for organized religion.” It appears Cheap Monday feel denimwear is a obvious medium for addressing the world’s religious and social concerns on the other hand perhaps Cheap Monday understand that reverse-marketing is a valuable tool for gleaning global recognition and if that’s the case perhaps someone should have told them that reserve-marketing requires the precision of a surgeon to succeed and not the ponderous predictable stomping of a twenty ton Swedasaurus!

you know, i wasn’t even aware of the whole “satanic” backstory when i bought my Cheap Mondays–i was just excited that the hot swedish jeans were finally available to me in the U.S.!!

i bought mine at Satine ( and have barely taken them off since. seriously, i love the stretchy skintight fit and the satanic story only makes me laugh.

These jeans suck anyways. Who wants to wear a cheap-crappy piece of rubbish! I’d opt for Pepe, Levis, etc any given day. And, as for Satanism, I hope the jean company owner gets a taste of what he worships. Hmff!!
