Naoki-Takizawa at Helmut Lang’s men’s wear
Starting from the fall collection, Link Theory Holdings Co. Ltd. has appointed former Issey Miyake designer Naoki Takizawa to design Helmut Lang’s men’s wear.
Naoki Takizawa joined Issey Miyake in 1989. A native of Tokyo (born 1960), he studied at the Kuwasawa Design School.
Trained by Issey Miyake himself before his retirement, Naoki Takizawa continues his mentor’s legacy. Like his mentor, Noaki Takizawa experiments with fabrics and textures.
He also incorporates other elements such as music and dance into his fashion designs.
He took over the helm of Issey Miyake when his mentor retired in 1997.
