AKA Terry Jersey Section:
After working as Fashion & Accessories Editors at ELLE Magazine for a number of years we felt that it was time to start our own line: AKA New York. We began with one item in Spring 2004 - our signature terry jacket, then moved onto the sweatshirt for Fall and now have expanded for our third Collection. We have had tremendous support from buyers, fellow editors, shoppers and even celebrities!
This year is made of two groups: Cotton Jersey and Terry and truly reflects our love of combining fashion with accessories. We love to make things feel easy and fun yet personalized.
The Cotton Jersey Group was inspired by the colors and mementos of the Sea – and though everything is made of supersoft “Tshirt” material, it is dressed up by assorted metallics and trims dangling from the hems...wood, coconut, coral and shells.
The Terry Group takes classic shapes and updates them by using an unexpected fabric. All the styles come in a rainbow of assorted sorbet color combinations and have quirky trims like bright color pom poms or white eyelet.
With their insider fashion information we strongly feel like this is the perfect combination of what is happening in fashion now and what is to come.
