Allen B. Schwartz began his adventure and ultimate destiny in the fashion world at the young age of 16 when he ventured from his home in Brooklyn to Manhattan. With drive and determination, Mr. Schwartz landed his first job at Russ Togs. Through his passion for sales Mr. Schwartz quickly worked his way through the ranks from the order department to the company's top salesman. However, it was the design aspect of the business that intrigued him most. Inspired by his initial experience Schwartz left Togs to go on and become one of the original founders of Esprit where he spent ten years growing the business. In 1982, Mr. Schwartz decided it was time to go out on his own. With the desire to design still burning, he made several major life changes including moving to Los Angles where he launched A.B.S by Allen Schwartz. The media and fashion buyers alike quickly hailed Schwartz "the master of trend." He is revered and applauded for the extraordinary job he does of bringing runway trends to the sales racks in record time. His collections are filled with a broad range of styles from his innovative and edgy Allen B denim collection, classic A.B.S styles, the ever-popular A.B.S elegant evening gowns and day dresses and most recently Allen introduced Allen B Men's. The media has widely covered Schwartz and aided him in reaching a national and international audience. Highlights of the coverage include television segments on CNBC, CNN, the Today Show and Oprah in addition to consistent editorial coverage in the major fashion magazines such as Vogue, InStyle and Elle. Finally, Forbes recognized Schwartz as heading one of the nation's fastest growing fashion companies.
