• A complete collection offering, Artful Dodger is best described as a European, contemporary men’s street wear line. Though urban casual, it’s the opposite of the baggy oversized hip-hop look associated with American street wear.

• The company is owned by Sovereign State, a two-year old New York based company whose owners have a long history in the international apparel marketplace. U.S. management includes Duke Wu, EVP of Sales and Marketing, and Toni Jones, Director of Sales.

• Artful Dodger’s first delivery is for early spring, in mid January ‘06. Stores who have placed orders for the forty-piece collection include Lounge, Fred Segal, and Up Against the Wall. Retail prices range from $30 (tees) to $95 (wovens) to $80- $255 (jeans and jackets).

• Highlights for spring include graphic blazers, hoodies, polo’s, and tees. The line also features satin embroidered jackets and embroidered and distressed denim.

• Fall ‘06 will be presented to retailers in mid January at the NYC Project Show.The collection will expand to some sixty pieces. One feature will be unique old school fabrications with a modern new school approach.

• Artful Dodger has launched an editorial product placement campaign aimed at the readership of magazines like Details, Stuff, Complex, Nylon, Flaunt, Blackbook, and others. Print ads are being developed for spring ‘06 issues and the company will utilize several other types of media, as well.
