Burberry is also famous for its Burberry Check which registered as a trademark and was introduced as a lining to the trenchcoat in 1924. Soon the red, camel, black and white check became synonymous with Burberry.

After being awarded the Royal Warrant from Her Majesty the Queen of England in 1955, the Burberry Check design began to apply itself to underwear, boxers and socks.
