Camper began its activities in 1975. It was a concept reflecting a new lifestyle. A new concept based on freedom, comfort and creativity. The first Camper store was opened in Barcelona in 1981. Camper sandals and shoes are synonymous with style and comfort.

Camper is the result of a dream, of a family tradition that has been making shoes for over 126 years. Its origins can be traced back to Antonio Fluxá who established the first advanced shoe factory in Majorca in 1877. Camper was born in 1975 by Antonio´s grandson, Lorenzo Fluxá. With the knowledge of two generations of craftsmen, Lorenzo combined traditional methods with modern ideas and esthetics to design products based on creativity and function. Camper is a brand inspired by the tradition, culture and landscape of the mediterranean, providing a touch of irony and fun to its designs.


For the summer 2006, Camper again explores its more colourful and happy side, opting for a selection that is expressive, optimistic and full of vitality. Constant references to the Mediterranean light go from bright and intense colours to warmer, sun-drenched tones to shades inspired by the earth and sea. Geometry, romanticism and cultural roots are the base for a collection of personal illustrations.


Today, 30 years after its foundation, Camper is present in over 46 countries around the world and is sold through multibrand distribution and own stores. The brand can be found in over 3.800 multibrand points of sale in Europe, North America, Mexico, Asia, Australia and South Africa. There are currently 100 Camper own stores in the most exciting cities around the world, including: London, Paris, Milan, Berlin, NY, Cape Town, Sydney, LA, Mexico and Tokio. Now Camper started to walk new ways: FoodBALL - a new food concept - has opened in Barcelona and next door the Casa Camper, a modern urban hotel.
