Chevignon Jeans Section:

In 1979 Chevignon was founded in Paris, France. The founder, Guy Azoulay, conceived the idea of creating the "fights", bomber jacket that the U.S, Air Force wore during the 50's. Charles Chevignon was a pilot of a four-motored plane. The essence of the Chevignon brand name is the translation of the "Ameican Dream", the legend of America in the 50's - to build an original world based on historical footnotes and at the same time is costantly renewed. Chevignon relentlessly pursues its epic to produce timeless products that combine both aesthetics and functionality.

COLLECTION
For Spring/Summer the Design Team has found inspiration in the deep roots of the Chevignon brand exploring its famous US college heritage, cruising on the US West Coast at Pebble Beach and sharing the wild journey of a journalist in the movie “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas”. Across all themes, the collection finds its unity in the finishing processes and vintage twist that are Chevignon’s trademark. All concepts interpret the “sun-burnt” effect that results when clothes have been left to weather in the sunshine: the color story ventures into a range of “dusty bright” colors and neutrals. The novelty in logos (e.g. stamp, embroideries, spray) gives the consumer a sense that the product was “found” rather than “designed” as many of the pieces have a one-of-kind sensibility.

HIGHLIGHTS
Reinventing the brand’s key fashion pieces, the Design Team has developed new finishing processes to give a vintage and authentic feel to the collection: leather pieces are stone-washed, sand-blasted or stamped. Novelty washes play a very important role in the denim collection. Irregular over-dyeing, creased effects and pigment spreading techniques were specially created for Chevignon and cannot be found elsewhere on the market.
