Founded in 1889, Lee Jeans is a leading international retailer and manufacturer of workwear, western wear and casual wear. Lee's products fall under the Lee Jeans, Lee Riveted, Lee Dungarees, One True Fit, Lee 1889 and Lee Pipes brand names. Headquartered in Merriam, Kansas, near Kansas City, Lee Jeans currently employs more than 400 people across the United States.

Lee Jeans currently spans three continents and 20 countries with its retail products. Their products are sold by major retailers, such as Sears, JC Penney, Kohl's and Mervyn's, and by smaller retailers throughout the United States.

Lee Jeans are also sold in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Scandinavia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom.

The VF Corporation, Lee Jeans parent company, is the largest publicly held apparel company in the world. It is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol VFC. The VF Corporation is the parent company to many apparel brands including Lee, Wrangler, Riders, Jantzen, JanSport, Healthtex, and Vanity Fair Intimates. VF is structured under coalitions: the Jeanswear Coalition, the Intimate Apparel Coalition, and the International Coalition. VF Jeanswear consists of the VF jeans brands: Lee (Lee Pipes, Lee Dungarees, Lee Riveted, One True Fit, Lee 1889), Wrangler, Riders, and Rustler.

Brainchild of Henry David Lee, the brand began its life in Kansas 1889. Supplying strong and reliable workwear, Henry created one of the most successful garment companies of the 20th century and won popularity with the workers of America. Now Lee jeans are sold across the world and the brand is known for its expertise in denim and authentic looks. Constantly updating designs and reinventing jeans, Lee draws on its rich heritage to inject modern looks with original features.


The new spring/summer 2006 Lee collection Sea Crafted was inspired by the great seas and oceans and that which lies below and beyond the surface. Fabrics and finishes have been created as if influenced in structure and colour by the infinite power of the sea. New, exciting and original shapes and details were inspired by an under water world of fascinating colours and form.


Lee had always a focus on fit, fabric and finish. Lee's flagship brand X-Line adds a 4th dimension to this with exciting new features. Brand new is X-Purity – an exclusive line within Lee’s X-Line Collection, simple products with innovative style. Lee Originals and the 101 line represent the soul of the Lee brand.
