In the late 1960’s Australian surfers Alan Green and John Law chased a dream – to live in Torquay, make a living and go surfing. In 1969 Alan Green produced wetsuits (Rip Curl) on a $2500 loan from his father, the next product was sheepskin boots (UGG Boots), and in 1970 he and John Law formed the company named Quiksilver.

The Quiksilver brand was created in 1969 in Torquay, Australia, by Alan Green and John Law, two surfers who wanted to live out of their passion for surf, therefore creating a unique product, the boardshort. Quiksilver’s ethos of individualism, creativity, innovation and freedom are embodied in its authentic boardriding culture and represented by its logo, a wave breaking over a snow-capped mountain. Quiksilver’s mountain wave logo communicates outdoor fashion and reflects boardriding, the beach, music-inspired influences with high quality apparel. Quiksilver’s substance lies in its heritage, product quality and innovation, and in its inseparable union with the boardriding culture.

COLLECTION
Quiksilver made the first boardshort specifically designed for rigors of surfing over 30 years ago. It was the product that took the surfing world by storm. The emphasis was on performance, endurance and style. Today, the emphasis remains the same. While boarshorts are still the cornerstone of what they do, they represent only a fraction of their diverse product line and they take the same pride and passion in developing the rest of their product range. They live the lifestyle they protray, and because theyare part of the market they serve, the inspiration comes from within. Quiksilver starts with young adults but also reaches youth with Quiksilver Boys and Quiksilver Toddlers. Their men's line, Quiksilveredition, combines top quality fabrics and style with athletic watermen image. Products cover a full range of sportswear, accessories and wintersports apparel, including footwear, watches and sunglasses as well as a full range of technical snowboard outerwear, wetsuits, lycra tops and surfboards.
