Salinas Brazilian Bikini Section:
SALINAS, founded in the early ‘80s by designer Jacqueline di Biase is one of most sought-after swimsuits on the planet. Natives from Rio de Janeiro, the first three years, Jacqueline and her husband Antonio made bikinis just for Rio shops and then when they realized they were doing good, Salinas brand was born. Finding their inspiration in Rio beaches, they always wanted to offer an alternative to normal-body-people.
The Salinas girl is confident, sweet yet sensual, playful, definitively a teaser but, most of all she is appreciated for her beautiful style and attitude. They love matching stripes with polka dots, solids and floral prints, camouflage with sequence and pink stripes, bright colors, ribbons and crystals. They embellish their prints with the most stylish hand embroideries and beading and because their suits are hand-sewn, no two suits are exactly the same.
Brazilian cut bikinis are beginning to be more and more accepted, their customer is getting used to their smaller and more feminine cuts. The direction they take is to continue to be different and daring. The more extravagant the prints the more fun it’s to mix them up. Seen on covers of Sports Illustrated, Glamour, Vogue, Cosmo Girl and Foam, and worn by the likes of Madonna, Kate Hudson, Gisele Bündchen…, Salinas is only getting bigger.
