The VINCENT DUPONTREUE fashion house was created in March 2000 by self- taught Vincent Dupontreué. The first collection Ready- to- Wear was presented in October 2000 during Paris fashion week at the Théâtre du Gymnase. Following the second fashion show in Man Ray, the quality of the materials and design made the customers react; instead of continuing with Ready- to- Wear, Vincent Dupontreué turned to Couture. He developed a range of couture dresses, trousers and skirts, and began to design Made- to- Measure line for both men and women. This collection proved extremely popular and continues today.

In light of the popular demand Vincent Dupontreué returned to the Ready- to- Wear collection, specializing in the jeans, and opened his first shop, on 70 rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré in Paris in February 2003. He remains the youngest designer to own a boutique on this prestigious shopping street in Paris. The year 2003 proved significant for Vincent Dupontreue,; he received an order from a Japanese customer for jeans with thirteen crystal tigers at 30 000 €; Vincent Dupontreué decided to present these jeans in October 2003 to the Red Cross at the prestigious Parisian club Regine’s, and they became the most expensive jeans in the world.

The year 2004 proved interesting for Vincent Dupontreue; 2004 was the year of China and it therefore seemed fitting to choose China as his subject; his jeans therefore represent five Chinese elements: the fire represented by a dragon, the earth represented by mountains, the water represented by a maritime monster, the wood represented by a cherry tree and the metal represented by a sabre. These jeans are made up of more of 40 000 crystals and more than forty different colors, taking more than 300 working hours to create. The jeans sold for 56 000 €. Following the notoriety and success of the jean’ s brand, TAG HEUER summonded Vincent Dupontreué to design their new line of watches; DENIM. The world launching of the line DENIM of TAG HEUER by VINCENT DUPONTREUE was launched in Paris in June 2005 in the presence of the ambassadress of the line UMA THURMAN, also a great admirer of the brand.

CHAMPAGNE DEUTZ recruited Vincent Dupontreué to design and produce their new bottle of Champagne, DEUTZ, out of crystal, for Christmas 2005. At the close of 2005, the Jean’ s line VINCENT DUPONTREUE was distributed in more than twenty countries. The beginning of 2006 has so far brought new and excited things for Vincent Dupontreue; by February, he successfully recruited Michelle Yeoh (star of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Memoirs of a Geisha and Tomorrow Never Dies) as ambassador of Vincent Dupontreue Paris.
