Kurt Geiger, renowned as one of the uk’s top shoe and handbag retailers, is opening a store at a prime location on grainger street on april 13. and that’s great news for lovers of fine footwear who will be able to enjoy everything from the latest collections. global style is the focus of this season’s new looks and Kurt Geiger has drawn inspiration from around the world. there’s a strong eastern feel with flat, ethnic thongs and even a touch of the wild west while must-have styles include wedges, clogs and the summer essential, espadrilles. Kurt Geiger is renowned for its attention to detail and this season is no exception. spring/summer styles showcase decorative embroidery and applique on highly colourful sandals and wedges.

Kurt Geiger announces new buying structure
in support of Kurt Geiger’s planned expansion initiatives, a new buying structure will be introduced from september 2005.
Kurt Geiger has promoted sarah lunney to the new position of head of own brand buying. formerly the KG buyer, sarah joined Kurt Geiger in february 2004, and has been instrumental in the success story of the KG brand, doubling its size and establishing it on the high street. as head of own brand buying, sarah will oversee Kurt Geiger, KG and Carvela shoes and accessories as well as men’s Kurt Geiger and KG. reporting directly to the buying and marketing director, rebecca farrar-hockley, sarah will be responsible for driving the future development and growth of Kurt Geiger’s own-label product ranges in conjunction with the business and brand strategy.
Kurt Geiger has appointed becky pearson to take over sarah's previous role as KG buyer. becky joins Kurt Geiger from top shop where she was the shoe buyer and will be assisted by the newly appointed louise fensome from dolcis.
as part of Kurt Geiger’s continued success and expansion, a new role has been created to oversee the development of own label accessories. israel imarni, formerly at wallis and tesco, will be joining Kurt Geiger as own brand accessories buyer and will be responsible for the accessories ranges for Kurt Geiger, KG and Carvela.
to give full support to one of Kurt Geiger’s fastest growing product areas, lucy paddock has been recruited to strengthen the men’s buying team. lucy will be responsible for the KG men's label as well as some of the external brands. lucy worked previously as buying manager for ravel mens and has experience in both own brand and branded product.
josie wright will be joining Kurt Geiger as Carvela buyer. josie has a proven track record of delivering great product and a wealth of shoe retailing experience most recently as a shoe buyer for tk maxx and previously at faith.
