Marc Jacobs is rumoured to be searching the capital for a location to open his first UK boutique next year. The award-winning American designer's first European store is due to open in January in Paris , where the fashion set can flock to buy his quirky high-end clothes, the antithesis of his collection at Louis Vuitton.

Marc Jacobs supports Katrina victims
Jacobs now wants to help those areas affected by Hurricane Katrina, so he created a limited-edition Marc by Marc Jacobs T-shirt, available exclusively at Bloomingdale's next week. The T-shirt features an illustration of a group of people on a sunny day in a park, holding hands while seemingly chanting the words "Bring It Back." The T will be pr iced at $30 and 100 percent of the pr oceeds will go to Habitat for Humanity and will help the rebuilding of areas affected by the hurricane.
