Walé Adeyemi's credentials are pretty impressive. At the age of 32, Walé has a successful 3 tier clothing line, a showroom in the heart of London's fashion mecca — Shoreditch, as well as a 2nd showroom in Amsterdam and a CV of celebrities he has designed or styled for that most designers could only dream about.

After spending time in various creative jobs on the fringe of the fashion world, Walé stepped out and began selling his own collection on Camden Market. His distinctive style and unique vision was soon recognised, with UK boutique stores buying into this dream. In 1998 the concept evolved into the range we now know as B Side, coining the phrase ‘Somewhere between the kerb and the boutique.’

The last six years have seen the development of the distinctive signature style of Walé Adeyemi, gaining individuality and clarity of direction that stands out from his contemporaries. Walé's clothing lends notable originality and finesse to urban style, founded upon his belief that what people wear on the streets dictates the movements of fashion, being “inspired by street style which is the origin of all styles.”

Walé's ability to predict underground trends and bring them to the forefront of fashion has gained him collaborations with Topshop, Slazenger and Nokia. Acknowledgement of his creative talent came when he was awarded 1st place in the fashion category at the Carlton Multicultural awards 2001, and most recently being presented with a Gold Award at the House of Commons from the Association of Colleges Charitable Trust (AOC) given to those who have achieved and received public recognition in their professional field.

 

One of the freshest talents in the UK, Walé is in constant demand to design and style for some of today's most prolific celebrities and artists, including: Missy Elliot, Usher, Alicia Keys, Lemar, the Beckhams, Mos Def, Roots Manuva, Miss Dynamite, June Sarpong, Black Eyed Peas, Lisa Maffia and many many more.

Walé is now focussed on the rapid rise and expansion of B Side, his now much sought after and incredibly popular ready to wear label for all ages and genders.
